Demand is the most undervalued metric in Blox Fruits trading. Every fruit on our value list has a demand rating from 1 to 10, and that number changes the real value of every trade โ even between fruits with identical raw value.
What Demand Actually Measures
Demand is "how badly do active traders want this fruit right now?" It's driven by:
- PvP meta โ fruits dominating fights spike in demand
- Grinding utility โ fruits that level fast (Buddha, Dough) keep eternal demand. See our grinding guide.
- Showcase & flex value โ Dragons, Kitsune, Tiger
- Availability โ recently released or hard-to-get fruits trend higher
Two fruits at 100M raw value with different demand ratings can mean a 20-30% real value gap. That's the difference between a fair trade and getting lowballed.
The Demand-Adjusted Trade
Here's the math the calculator runs, simplified:
weighted_value = raw_value ร (demand / 7.5)So a 60M fruit at 9/10 demand is "worth" ~72M weighted, while a 60M fruit at 5/10 demand is "worth" ~40M weighted.
That's a 32M swing on the same raw value. This is why two 60M fruits are not automatically a fair trade.
Example Trades
Example 1: The "Same Value, Different Outcome" Trade
You offer: Yeti (140M, 9/10 demand)
They offer: Control (130M, 8/10 demand)
Naive verdict: You're losing 10M raw value โ Slight L.
Demand-weighted verdict: Your Yeti weighted is 168M, their Control is 139M. You're actually winning by ~21%. Take the trade.
Example 2: The "Stacked Lowball" Trade
You offer: Kitsune (600M, 10/10)
They offer: Tiger (150M, 10/10) + Yeti (140M, 9/10) + Gas (60M, 9/10) + Control (130M, 8/10) + 50M Beli = 530M raw + Beli
Naive verdict: Pretty close. Maybe Fair.
Demand-weighted verdict: Your Kitsune weighted is ~800M. Their stack weighted is ~660M (Beli isn't demand-weighted). You're losing 17%. Negotiate or walk.
Demand vs Trend: They're Different
Some traders confuse demand and trend. Quick distinction:
- Demand = how badly people want it right now (1-10 score, somewhat stable)
- Trend = which direction the value is moving (Overpaid / Stable / Rising / Unstable / Underpaid)
A fruit can be at 9/10 demand but trending "Falling" โ that's a fruit you want to trade away soon, before everyone else does. A fruit at 5/10 demand trending "Rising" is a buy.
When Demand Changes
Three predictable triggers move demand significantly:
- Update patches โ Update 29.5 dropped Dragons reworked, immediately moved their demand to 10/10.
- Content creator showcases โ when a major creator showcases a fruit, demand pops 1-2 points for ~2 weeks.
- New release timer โ newly added fruits get 8-9 demand for the first month, then settle.
We update demand ratings within 48 hours of any major shift. See the current list.

Open Calculator โPermanent vs Physical: Demand Still Matters
Common myth: "Perms don't care about demand, only physical fruits do." Wrong.
Demand affects both values. The reason a perm Kitsune costs 1.8B and perm Buddha costs only 30M isn't just rarity โ it's that perm Kitsune holds 10/10 demand forever, while perm Buddha is locked at "useful but boring" status.
Practical Rules
- If both sides are within 1 demand point of each other, raw value is mostly fine to compare directly.
- If demand differs by 3+ points, the higher-demand side wins even with 20% less raw value.
- Always trade up in demand if you can โ high-demand fruits are easier to retrade.
- Never trade down in demand without a clear win in raw value (like 1.5x+).
